#11 The Dark Knight (10 out of 10)

The Dark Knight is the sequel to Batman Begins, which was nominated for an Oscar, so my expectations for its sequel were high and expected more action and a deeper story line. The movie starts out great and introduces Gotham city’s new villain, acted by heath ledger, the joker. Heath Ledger showed the joker with marvelous detail and fans of DC Comics a lot of people were pleased with his role in the sequel. The plot of the movie was preceded by the first movie so fans of Batman would see the same cast and would introduce some new cast as well. The main character, Christian Bale, shows his best work in his years while working in Hollywood. The role perfectly suited him to play as head of a multibillion-dollar company and a vigilante at knight. I was surprised that in a small period of time he went from average making movies and then later he stared as one of the worlds best known heroes from DC Comics and worked with Oscar nominated Heathe Ledger to make one of the Best superhero movies in years.

The setting of the movie, Gotham City, showed a corrupted world run over with thugs and crime mobs. They made Gotham look and gave it a feel like exactly it would as described in the comics. The place would be as dark as a pit and the show little crimes as an average night in the city. The setting gave it a perfect background for all its villains in the movie, and that’s including its first movie.

8/ the curious case of benjamon button

The curios case of Benjamin button has been nominated for several awards and there is no regret t shouldn’t win best picture of the year or any of its nominates. The story was scripted with excellence with full emotion. Just watching a movie is average but getting a third person view from one if its characters feels like your really feeling the characters emotions and thought. The plot of the movie was really interesting and overall done with eloquence and its dialogue was well in the specific time frame. The story really stood out from other movies and didn’t really stay on one topic, like romance, comedy etc., the movie brought a mixture of all its genres and put it together and told this persons life.

The cast was well planned aside from Oscar nominated Brad Pitt; its supporting cast did its part into making this an epic drama. Brad pitt is a well known actor not just nation wide but all around the world and even though I never enjoyed seeing any other movies of his, I was impressed by the way he acted his character. Not only emotion wise but how would he feel if he was in his characters place. The supporting cast was there to not only insuring brad Pitt’s performance but show just how talented and why they deserved their role in the movie. Taraji Henson showed her best performance period. In fact her role in the movie won her an  award actress of the year. Her previous movies were good but Benjamin button was epic.

7/ Rocky 3 Review

Rocky 3 is an instant classic the moment you hear the name. It is the third installment in the overall six movies. Stallone has perfected his character because of the he acts as if it’s his life story. He expresses hard and deep emotion whether he talks to his wife, his son, or Apollo as if they are really in a tough situation. Clubber Laung’s, the challenger, character was shown really well by Mr. T because he showed ruthless, brutality and total power which was well shown to really stand up and face rocky. The characters overall were shown outstandingly well and show real feelings for the little things that occur to them. My favorite character would be Apollo Creed because he shows and helps Rocky through tough his tough phases of his life and he shows true sportsmanship by offering to train Rocky.

Overall the story was well thought out and it followed tiny parts from the prevoius films so if you never followed the series you wont be lost in the story but you will realize who the characters are and what they mean in the story. The setting in Los Angeles really helped the movie because in reality thousands of people try to make it to professional league and it showed when he lost his fight that he going to start back on the bottom. The action and fights of the film were awesome because it showed brutality and ruthless to each other. The fights were similar to actual fights that they wanted to really knock out each other.
